Getting married in your own castle. That’s possible at Duurstede Castle. It is one of the oldest castles in the Netherlands and is located on a historic castle island. You will have this island exclusively available on your big day.
Romantic surroundings
The castle has a charming courtyard with a covered terrace that is perfect for cutting the wedding cake or for a relaxed drink or champagne toast. Of course, your vows deserve an equally inspiring setting. Besides the romantically decorated wedding hall, it is also possible to get married outside!
Different spaces
Inside, the castle also sparks the imagination. Arched ceilings, historical fireplaces, and chandeliers create a beautiful backdrop for your dinner, buffet, reception, and/or party. Since the castle has multiple rooms for both small and large groups, there is always a suitable space for every activity during your wedding day.
Rooms and photo locations
Take, for example, the Bishops' Hall, located on the second floor of the Donjon Tower. Ideal for a spectacular evening party with music. From this room, you have a beautiful view over the castle island, including the surrounding castle park with trees over one hundred and fifty years old. This historic location, with its towers, moat, and drawbridge, is perfect for a photoshoot.

Duurstede Castle is situated in a quiet location, far from traffic and noise. The castle is close to Utrecht, making it easily accessible for guests from all over the Netherlands.

Not only is Kasteel Duurstede magical, but the staff are incredibly accommodating and helpful. Miranda met with us privately at the venue for a tour of the location and helped arrange the wedding to our wishes. Lars and the staff were present the day of the wedding and were extremely helpful, patient, kind, and hospitable. We cannot praise them enough.
Wat hebben wij genoten van onze bruiloft op deze sprookjesachtige en prachtig mooie locatie! Het was geweldig om met ons kleine gezelschap de dag van ons leven te vieren en meemaken hier. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en heel behulpzaam!
17-06-2023; prachtig weer, onze liefste vrienden en familie komen samen op een sprookjesachtig kasteel om met ons de liefde te vieren. Onze bruiloft was waar we van hadden gedroomd maar waarvan je enkel durft te hopen dat het aan al je verwachtingen en wensen voldoet. Wauw wat een dag! We hebben met z'n allen genoten van de heerlijke relaxte sfeer en de hele goede service. Enorm bedankt iedereen van Kasteel Duurstede
30 juni mochten wij elkaar het ja-woord geven op Kasteel Duurstede. Het was prachtig weer en een prachtige locatie. Contact met Miranda verliep goed. De dag verliep soepel dankzij onze ceremoniemeester en partymanager Lars (en onze familie en vrienden). Op een paar kleine hickups na (niet benoemenswaardig eigenlijk en opgelost) verliep de dag goed volgens draaiboek. Een sprookjesbruiloft in het echt! Nu nagenieten!
