Huis Verwolde

A 'hidden gem in the woods' in neoclassical style in the beautiful Achterhoek.

Huis Verwolde is a nobleman's house from the 18th century and is surrounded by a stunning park with various lawns. It is a special and romantic location for your wedding day. At Huis Verwolde, you can hold the wedding ceremony, have the bridal photoshoot, or even celebrate your entire wedding day. On Mondays and Fridays, the museum is closed, and if desired, you can rent the entire estate exclusively. 

The Orangerie
The Orangerie was built at the same time as the Coach House. The architectural style matches that of the main house. Now it is an atmospheric location for weddings, meetings, and receptions.

The closing of a marriage or a registered partnership takes place in the Orangerie or in the garden. All the festivities that go along with this can be organized at Verwolde, such as cutting the wedding cake, a champagne toast, reception, dinner, or party. For the photo shoot, you have a choice of many beautiful spots.

The Orangerie accommodates about 50 people with 30 to 50 seats, 20 standing places, and space for wedding furniture for the couple and witnesses. We love to work with local caterers who can take care of your entire wedding day, ensuring that nothing is missing. 

Wedding night in the Coach House
The Coach House with the stables was built in 1890. The interior of the coach house is still largely original. Our Coach House has been converted into a cozy and comfortable accommodation with 3 double rooms, 3 bathrooms, a sauna, and a large living room with original old historical elements.
