Historic and unique The history of this city palace dates back to 1469, when the advisor of Emperor Maximilian built his house here, after which it frequently changed owners. We owe the royal appearance of Het Spaansche Hof to the Spaniards, who remodeled it in 1677 into the current city palace. The Spanish Embassy was housed here. When you step into Het Spaansche Hof, where many of these historical elements have been preserved, you can still feel the history.
